Mojo was scheduled for a date with Tamaskan Callie for this or next week. But, last week it turned out that one of Callies littermates was diagnosed with Addison’s Disease. And while it’s not sure that this disease is genetic, the International Tamaskan Register decided against breeding with Callie.
The owner of Callie is heartbroken by this decision especially because she has put so much time and energy into making this a succes. I am sad for her and a little bit for myself, as I really want to see if I can have a small outcross programm myself. But who knows what the future brings. For now I concentrate on having our first WSS litter this Spring. Our youngest WSS Jane Daughter of our Mojo Every day you look more And more like him When you trod you dance When you catch ball you do it with So much elegance and ease It amazes me every time I see it You love to run and play catch with Mijne To play and sleep with Jessie Have kisses from Mojo and us And run after Jackie and Julie Car rides are still a challenge Especially when other cars get to close But you manage and keep you head up You can be so independent. Strange people and dogs you find interesting Not to be all over them right away But you love to get attention Especially when you get a belly rub A year ago you were born On the same day as Martijns birthdate So we knew right away We wanted you to be part of us And that you are Can’t imagine the pack without you We love you so much sweetie Happy happy birthday to you❤️❤️❤️ We had a pretty big scare last weekend when Mojo cut himself while doing some nose work on our property. The emergency vet in Raleigh NC said he was a lucky boy, it could have been so much worse. He got stitches and a drain.
Turns out that there are two steel bars sticking out of the ground. And Mojo must have ran into one of them because there was still some coat laying next to it. Why they are there, who knows. For now I’ve put some cones on them. Mojo is doing well, he has some pain, but the wound is healing. After two years of renovation, The Sunnyside Sisters B&B will open her doors this week, Friday October 21. We are very exiting that the day has come we can start with inviting guests in this beautiful historic home.
