April 12, day 22
Today Venture weights around 1650 grams. More than 7x her birth weight! And she is doing wonderful and looks very good. Jessie still feeds her every 3 hours.
Week 3 also means deworming with Panacur which we started today.
Since yesterday I put a baking pan with an puppy pad in the whelping box. When I see that Venture is trying to pee or poop I put her in there. Potty training has started! Surprisingly Venture already peed twice in the pan, without me being present. Yeah! Fingers crossed she keeps going ro the pan to do her business.

April 14, day 24
Venture is getting more independent. She does her business without Jessie cleaning it up all the time.
I put in a baking pan with a puppy pad and a couple of times Venture used it. To be honest it is still more next to the pan than in, but we're getting somewhere.

I also bought a secondhand baby play gym and made some fun stuff for it. Venture is curious but with caution. Once she felt a little more sure, she peed on it🤣 that was within a minute. So now I can wash it again.
And since two days I started to play sounds (Youtube) like a doorbell, knocking, fireworks, traffic like cars, buses and trams, thunderstorms, etc, etc for Venture. During lunch when Jessie is playing with the big dogs, Venture and I are relaxing in the whelping box and while I softly stroke her, I play the sounds. For now on a low volume but this I will gradually increase. Venture is really relaxed about it, doesn't seem to be bothered. I am not sure how much she can already hear, but a little for sure. This moment is really 'our' time and I enjoy this very much🧡.
April 15, day 25
Two new things: i introduced a ball today. Venture was interested. And she stared on mush. Basically she got blended puppy kibble with a lot of water. And she like it! Don't know if she like it as much as her mamas milk, but hopefully she will keep on eating this. This way I can relief Jessie of her mama duty; with Ventures teeth getting into place, it's hurting more and more to feed Venture.

April 17, day 27
This week we also have Venture on a Panacur, dewormer. That stuff really stinks, but it's for a good cause.
Also this week: - we give Venture an every day novelty, like the mobile, but also a ball, an easter decorative egg filled with kibble (noise) and even the stone 'feeding bowl'.
Also gentle handling we do every day. Ventures hearing is getting better every day. She wakes up now when she hears me approaching the whelping box. She also start playing with her stuffed animals, is exploring how to escapes the whelping box and loves to fall asleep in my lap.
Her coat is getting really fluffy now, which is normal at this age even with short coat WSS.
Tomorrow she will be 4 weeks already. It goes so fast now.
