Finding a suitable name for him was a challenge, but we decided on Mijne (Mine in English) because it represented the answer to the question: "who's soul is he going to save?"

Mijne is a very handsome dog, taller than his big 'brother' Mojo and physically impressive. He has a playful and silly nature. He is intelligent and quickly understands cues, especially when there is a treat involved. Mijne adapts easily and has a "no-nonsense" mindset that we adore. His name, "soul saver," accurately reflects his unique personality

Mijne measures approximately 28 inches (70cm) in height and weighs around 88 lbs (40kg). He has been cleared of all breed-specific genetic diseases such as DM and Mdr through EMBARK testing.

Mijne was withdrawn from the breeding program. He never sired a litter, and has never had the chance. In 2024, at the age of 4.5 years, he has been neutered. He is and will always be part of our pack, just not to breed with. See also the blog

Obedience training

Mijne came in our lives January 2020. Right away we put him on puppy groups training. And then COVID hit and all classes where postponed. Meanwhile we sold our home and had to move to the South of The Netherlands and that was to far away to pick up the training again. So I trained Mijne myself and arranged for him to have his exam anyway. And he did his exam with top grades. I am so proud of this fantastic dog! That summer he started the next obedience training at another facility but because we moved to the USA we had to stop. Like all the other dogs they are trained by me on a daily basis. They love it!
