This week has been a tough one. Being happy on Friday that Jessie has two pups, to hearing on early Monday morning that there where some concerns if the puppies were growing in accordance of their age, and if they were still alive. I contacted one of my friend breeder and we both concluded that we would get Jessie in again for a ultrasound on today. And so today Jessie and I went to Raleigh NC again, it took me some persuasion to get her out of the car, but being a good girls as she is, she did, and she had her ultrasound. She's absolute not happy with this all, but she is also a good girl.
The ultrasound showed that there are two puppies (twins!!) and they are alive and kicking. Progesterone measurement showed that it's probably not this weekend that Jessie is going into labor, but coming week we hope she will.
Jessie is doing absolute great, she looks radiant and happy. Needless to say that I am so proud of this beautiful and loving dog🩷🩷🩷

Update Monday March 18,
It looks like Jessie is going into labor anytime some. It's 5am now and at 4am she started panting. She now is quiet again, but it wouldn't surprise me if she has some hardly noticeable contractions. Jessie is one of those dogs that doesn't show pain or discomfort easily and so I have to watch her very closely to know what is going on. Anyway she is now on my day bed, and if she wants to give birth on there, I am ok with that. But her whelping box is ready and she even has tried it already.

Update March 19.
Still no puppies. Last night it looked like Jessie was going into labor (again) but again after 1-1.5 hour of restlessness, panting and nesting, she calmed down and went to sleep. She eats good, and is doing great. I still feel the pup(s) moving so they seem to be ok too. I called the vet and if by tomorrow Jessie hasn't given birth, I will take her in. So I really hope that she will give birth within these 24 hours. Fingers crossed 🤞

We went to NC State Vet Hospital today and had Jessie checked. She and her twins are doing absolute fine. The twins are ready to be born. Jessies progesterone indicates that the puppies will be born soon, but could at the same time take a couple more days.
In the meanwhile we are enjoying these 'Spring feel' days.
