Extreme heat (dog) safety

​With temperatures around the 100 we have put some extra safety measures into place:

• play and training sessions only early in the morning when it is the coolest part of the day
• short potty breaks during the day and as far as possible only in the shade
• always enough water available.
• airco and/or ceiling fans are on 24/7
• they get ice cubs multiple times a day.
• I don't have a cooling mat, but I have put damp towels on the floor.
• no car rides, and never leave the dog behind in the car!!!!
• no trips to the vet, store if I can avoid it. The asphalt in the parking lot gets extreme hot and can burn your dogs paws in seconds.
