On Sunday August 29 we celebrated your 16th birthday. You were born in 2005, the year we went to live on St Martin.
Your mother was there one day and before we knew it, you and your two sisters and brother were born. I remember that day so clearly like it only happened yesterday. At 7 am your mother was 'miauwing' at the front door and as soon as i opened it, she came running inside to hide under the electric stove. During the day she gave birth to you. And as soon as i came home from work, I pulled away the stove and there you were. Four kittens, curdled up against each other. So little❤️ I had to help you to find your moms milk, you were so weak. But you managed and grew bigger and bigger. With your semi long hair a typical St Martin cat. When it was time to send you to your new home, I couldn’t let you go. Like Martijn couldn’t let go off your sister. So together with your sister and mommy you stayed and when it was time for us to go back to The Netherlands you all came with us. You survived your mom, sister, Mullet (dog) and Dushi (cat). But now it is your time to cross that rainbow bridge. So that you won’t suffer any longer. We know it’s the best for you, but saying goodbye to you makes us sad. We will miss having you always around. We love you dear Jill❤️

Washing the dogs is something I normally don't do until it is really necessary, like being really dirty. I brush them regularly though and of course clip their nails. But is so hot outside, and we have a hose know, that I decided to give them a good bath. Mojo loves it, Mijne just accepts it as Jessie does. And now they are so soft❤️❤️❤️
Today Mojo had his first date with Anya. And a beautiful pair they make. It took a while before Mojo got is right, he got an A+ for trying, and it went absolute perfect. They connected and stayed for almost 20 min that way. I am soooo proud of our boy. He did what he had to do, Anya and him even kissed. Tomorrow they will go again. Love you Anya and Mojo❤️❤️❤️
UPDATE: 8/22 Second round went great as well. Over appr 30 days we will know for sure if it was a success. Jessie copes with some female problems. After her first heat, which I found pretty severe, she had some discharge coming from her vulva. So on a Saturday we drove all the way to an emergency clinic in Durham. According to the the vet there she had vaginitis and he gave her a 10 antibiotic. It went better but wasn't over yet. So I took her to the vet her in C. Again a 10 day antibiotic but now a broader one. It helped but still wasn't over. All this time I was getting more and more worried. Because it could have something to do with her uterus and in the worst case scenario Jessie could have an uterus infection that only could be cured by removing her uterus.
So I got a referral to the Animal State hospital in Raleigh NC. An almost 1.5 hour drive. But it was well worth it. They made a echo and saw that nothing was wrong with her uterus. Jessie seemed to have puppy vaginitis which is not uncommon after a first heat and she should be fine after her next heat. She will grow out of it. To make sure that it wasn't Brucellosis that is not uncommon in East-Europe, she was tested for that as well. Happy that the result was negative. On advice of the vet we give her probiotics with her food because that will help restore her balance. I hope that Jessie won't have much of these 'female problems' again and that we can enjoy a happy and healthy life with her. If all goes well Mojo has his first date with a beautiful female WSS Anya in 10 days. We are very excited because who knows? Mojo might soon be a dad for the first time!!! We love you Mojo💕
Tomorrow it is already a week ago that June was taken from us. I miss her so much and it makes me really sad seeing her sister Julie look for her.
